Hello everybody, how are you doing? How are your summer holidays? Have you been anywhere? I'll tell you about mine.
I did not write here before because since the end of june I have been very busy. In July I went to the Pirinean Mountains. I had a great time there, hiking, swimming in a swiming pool, climbing mountains, etc. After that I went to Norway, it's a beautiful country in the north of Europe. There, people speak Norwegian but most of them can also speak English so I could ask anything I needed to know. The natural landscapes there are awesome: there are waterfalls, glaciars (a frozen sea), fiords, lakes, rivers, mountains, etc.
What about you? Where have you been in July? Are you going anywhere in August? Have you spoken English with somebody? Tell me about you holidays, the lanscapes you have seen. Leave your comments.
Remember that summer holidays are a time for relaxing, playing, swimming, doing things with friends but there is also time for practising english. At the end of June I gave your parents a list of things you could do, I will remind you:
1. Tell me about your holidays, places you have visited, describe the lanscapes (there is/ there are), activities you have practiced (I swim, I climb, etc). Write it in the comments chart.
"In July I went to____,
In August I'm going to ____"
3. Read books, in the "literacy" page or in the "reading books" entry you have some books you can read.
4. Watch cartoons in English, you can press the dual button or watch then in you tube. Here you have a Peppa Pig episode
5. Ask your parents to dictate you some English words (choose them from you books, the jolly phonics worksheets you completed or from the phonics entries in this blog).
6. If you have the opportunity to speak in English do it (maybe at the beach where there are usually foreign people, or if you go to another country).
6. If you have the opportunity to speak in English do it (maybe at the beach where there are usually foreign people, or if you go to another country).
7. Read science books too, if you don't find them in English read them in Spanish. Read about the human body, the Solar System, Materials, Animals, Plants, etc.
8. And finally, something new, write a postcard to the school saying where are you, we can read them in September.
